IRISH CONCERT AND TEA on Sunday, March 19th at 2 PM at Day’s Ferry Congregational Church
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a special concert and tea on Sunday, March 19, at 2 pm. Sharon Pyne of Woolwich and Julia Lane of Round Pond have played music from ancient Ireland for decades. Sharon plays the wooden flute while Julia brings her talent on the Celtic harp, ancestor of the orchestra harp. Sprightly dance tunes, haunting aires and songs evoke the castles, cottages, and moorlands of the Emerald Isle. Both Sharon and Julia often perform with other local ensembles, so this is a rare opportunity to hear them as a duo. We will serve refreshments “tea party” style. Free-will donations are welcome.
